About
Trent was born and raised in Concord, California and went to Concord High School where he played football. This led to multiple accomplishments such as winning the NCS Division 2 Championship in 2010, reaching the NCS Division 2 Championship again in 2011, being a Team Captain, having the most sacks in a single season in team history (22), being honored as NCS Defensive Player of the Year, League MVP, Athlete of the Year for his school and much more. This then helped to get recruited by the University of Nevada, Reno where he joined the Wolf Pack as a Middle Linebacker while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

Trent graduated from the University in 2016 as a Student-Athlete on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor’s Degree. Post graduation he began working in various professional settings such as a Law Firm, a Fundraising Company for public schools, Assisted-Living facilities and multiple schools in various roles in the Northern Nevada community. He then returned to the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work with the desire to help others, professionally.

During Trent’s education and training he completed two, nine-month internships to improve his clinical skills and to gain more experience. The first internship was at The Eddy House providing services to homeless or at-risk youth in our community. The second internship was at True North Treatment Center where he continued to build on his therapeutic abilities with a diverse clientele through individual and group sessions.

Upon graduating with a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2021, Trent began working as a Therapist for both the Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at West Hills Behavioral Health Hospital until it’s closure. After the closure, he joined Healing Minds to continue his work as a Clinical Therapist while he proceeded to get his LCSW. He has conducted over 3,000 therapy sessions thus far where he has fine-tuned his style and therapeutic interventions. Simultaneously, he become certified in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech and has since facilitated weekly Consultation Team meetings with seven other DBT Therapists. Outside of his clinical work, Trent has also joined the Board of Directors for High Sierra AHEC to further help the community and the healthcare field in general.

Trent enjoys living in Reno as the city feels like the perfect size as it is not too big nor too small. It is always great to have beautiful Lake Tahoe a short drive away. Especially as he enjoys the outdoors in various ways such as hiking, biking, backpacking, swimming and more. With the consistent, regular sunny days in Reno, it makes it easy to get out and adventure in a lot of ways throughout the four seasons.
